M A J O R Bore fest

So... This was supposed to be its epic "beginning"
First, I did not buy the fat gal going into crisis labor... the bossman and crew stupidly ignoring her condition... Then suddenly out 'pops' alleged baby Leatherface (great effects work BTW, Nicotero :)

Second, this supposedly is sole-based on Leatherface... When the original was 3 murderous cannibal brothers in south rural Texas. So just where were the other two? Play-out featured only little Leatherface growing up with his "adoptive" parents, then turning into a deranged psycho killer.

Third, entire 25 minutes into this was plain stupid, and flat. Seriously. If you're going to effort any prequel to a horror icon, then damned be, do it justice. This thing was a waste of our time (and did not justice Gunnar Hanson's original)

I have no idea why the whole adoption thing was necessary. And who left baby Leatherface in the dumpster? The mom or her boss? Why does the boss not realize the deformed kid he may have left for dead was working for him for so long?

This is a prequel to the remake. The original's own prequel is coming soon. But it's also taking TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D into account, so don't expect great continuity with the original.

There wasn't much family back story in the remake, so I'm not surprised they struggled to come up with material. But they also copped out and rehashed the formula.
