shareIt's my favorite out of the entire franchise. It's airing again on Syfy on the 12th! I can't wait! I hate that they took out some scenes from the TV version.
shareJust watched it again, it still holds up. Can't believe its been ten years already. I remember seeing this in theater.
shareVery well done prequel imo. This one gets a lot of unwanted hate, and it's my 2nd favorite in the series after the original.
shareI liked both the 2003 movie and this one very much. My question is Why did the series just all of a sudden stop until 2013 with the underwhelming TCM 3D? I thought they had it going really, really well with TCM 2003 and this one The Beginning? I don't understand how they just said Ok, we'll stop with these now and come back in 7 years.
shareI think they stopped because New Line lost the rights to the series not to long after this film was released. Plus, I don't think there was much demand for another film to be made in the Hewitt series. I would, however, have loved to have seen another film set after this as well.
shareIt's arguably the second/third best in the entire franchise after the 2003 remake and/or original.
