Original Soundtrack CD

Does anyone know where one can get the film soundtrack on CD? I've just bought the UK (2 DVD) Region 2 version and thought the music was excellent. Thanks.

Oldbadger, I loved this film score as well, it was truly instantly breathtaking. Also thought the film itself was possibly the best war movie I've seen... Thin Red Line may still just be No 1. Anyway I think this link will allow you to purchase the soundtrack.

Ghostewhitetabby, you're a star! Many thanks indeed. I will follow this link and purchase the soundtrack which is indeed, as you so rightly say, instantly breathtaking. I agree with you also that it is one of the best war films ever made. If you like great & realistic war films as I think you do, check out 'Kokoda' (2006). It's an Australian film (they normally do excellent war films anyway: e.g. 'Gallipoli', 'Breaker Morant' & 'The Odd Angry Shot').

'Kokoda' brilliantly captures the horrific holding action that Aussie reservists fought against ferocious Japanese attacks in 1942 Papua New Guinea in ghastly conditions. 'Kokoda' is available on Region 4 from Australia or Region 2 from Amazon UK. No insult to the superbly filmed 'Thin Red Line' (which I also loved) but 'Kokoda' makes it look pleasant by comparison.
