Rambo 3 reference

During the 80s the Rambo movies were so popular and they were often popular with people involved in conflicts (the people with the guns on both sides, not the civilians caught in the middle) who wanted to be like the character. Read any account of Sierra Leone (or any similar account set in a war zone or civil war afflicted area) and you will find descriptions of rebels, militia members etc. watching Rambo movies (and other Western action films) firing their guns in the air, taking names like First Blood and Rambo, and dressing in conscious or unconscious imitation of Stallone, headband etc. (There was a similar infatuation with these groups with American rap music and lifestyle... lots of South Central L.A. styles and Ice Cube t-shirts were being worn in Somalia and elsewhere)
The movies were even popular in Vietnam though Rambo kicks Vietnamese ass and Rambo 3 was popular in Afghanistan for obvious reasons.
The guy at the end resembling Stallone may simply be a coincidence, it may just be a reference to Rambo 3 (though whether a Russian movie that is trying to make sense of Russian's involvement in Afghanistan, much as Platoon and the subsequent American films tried to do with Vietnam, would reference a movie that painted Russian forces as flat-out evil is debatable), or it may be an astute nod to the fact that during the 80s you'd be hard pressed to find an irregular (so non-uniform wearing) army from whatever country, side, ideology etc that didnt have a Rambo wannabe/dress-a-look-alike in it.
