I saw 9th Company a few years back and around the same time I saw another Russian War film called 'Star'.

Star is set in World War 2 Belarus and is about a small group of Soviet soilders who are sent behind German lines to try and find out what the enemy's next move is going to be. I thought it was a pretty decent watch and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed 9th Company.

A film I have been meaning to watch for some time but still have not got round to watching is 'Come and See'. This is a Soviet made film from the mid 80's which is also set in World war 2 Belarus. I understand it has some very gruesome scenes in it but if you can get through that i've been told it's an excellent movie.

Brest Fortress (Fortress of War, 2010) is a decent Russian war movie. It's not the best but it's not the worst either. It's based on actual events surrounding an old fortress that was bitterly defended during the Nazi invasion in June, 1941.

This is a must-see if you really like Russian movie. I just watched two days ago and really enjoyed the cinematographic as well as historical elements used in such battle war related epic movie made my Russian film company.

It's about the German invasion to a stronghold and town named Brest Fortress where almost all the Soviet soldiers and civilians were brutally eradicated by the Nazi troop.
