actually, both are perfectly acceptable ways to say the phrase. it started out as champ, but by the 20th century started to morph into chomp, until it was accepted slang. but hey, why do something as complicated as a google search so that you can figure that out for your self, when you can just hurl childish insults and try picking a fight for absolutely no reason, am I right?
