OT: CN/AS Budget
Why do some Adult Swim show have a lower budget than its daytime counterpart? I remember reading an article maybe a year or so ago with Jackson saying something along the lines of wanting to do more episodes with music but the licensing fees were too expensive for their budget. Or getting half-hour Metalocalypse episodes at the expense of a much shorter season.
Meanwhile, let's take two of CNs shows (both of which I love, not being disparaging), Adventure Time & Regular show. While both are typically only 15 minutes long with the occasional half-hour (though recently it was announced RS will be having half-hour episodes more frequently in upcoming seasons), often extend into 30+ episodes per season, and particularly in Regular Show's case, often have popular songs from the 80s in their episodes.
If it's a case of the creators not having the time/energy to do more than they do, that's fine. It just seems like their popularity would warrant a larger budget for being able to do the musically-themed episodes they desire/more animators/more episodes.
