Is that we got so much Billy/Pete and yet nearly all of the other secondary characters didn't appear in a single episode? Where was Orpheus and the order of the triad, the Impossibles, and all the other characters in "All This and Gargantua-2". This season was fantastic but it felt too short and like all our faves disappeared.

I wouldn't say we got that much of them. Mainly one episode solely devoted to them and the rest they are just sprinkled in.
shareJackson Publick and Doc Hammer have said they wanted this season to focus on the family and reset the mythology of the Venture Bros.
I don't think that means that the Order of the Triad are gone, but they were using this season for the expanded universe to develop a nice backstory apart from the family.
I get the vibe Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer wrote characters into a corner and this entire season was an opportunity to open up the universe.
If you pay attention to the writing style of The Ventures they use flashbacks, exposition, and a vague mystique very often to tell stories and jokes. Tends to give it a noir meets 'comic book origin story' feel. All those secondary characters you know their backstory, motivation, and history. Really hard to learn new things from characters who aren't apart from you for an extended time
