That was kind of weak.

The finale wasn't awful or anything, but it wasn't that great, either. As usual with this show, they opened up some mysteries and didn't resolve a damn one of them. We still don't know dick about the Monarch's dad and his relationship with Dr. Venture or The Monarch's relation with Rusty. We'll probably have to wait two years for the next season and hope they give a few answers, but who the hell knows? Next season will probably be set in Africa or something and won't even mention the Blue Morpho. This show used to have the best season finales of any show on television but this is two limp ones in a row, now.

I was quite liking this season overall, but the move to New York and their new found wealth didn't add anything to the show. We did get 21's origin story, which was cool and what Blue Morpho stuff we got was really good. Hank and his new girlfriend didn't go anywhere, though. I swear, this show is the biggest cock tease on TV (speaking of which, what the hell happened to Molotov?). They're always setting things up but almost never paying off. This is season six and we still don't know why the Monarch hates Rusty so much and who the hell are Hank and Dean's real mom. It gets a bit frustrating after a while. The show has been running for 13 years, now! Give us a little something!

I thought this episode was perfect considering the rest of the season and what they could do in light of the episode count. The character traits of Red Death were fantastic. Gary and Malcolm totally represented the fans in regards to him. It's more satisfying if you think of seasons 5 and 6 as one long season with AT&G2 as the bridge. Although season 6 is more like one isolated movie (it covers only a few weeks) with a refreshing change up of the Ventures visiting NY. It was clear D&J relished the setting and including the quirks of the city. What the NYC move really allowed for was the NY chapter of the Guild and all the "great name" Level 10 villains that live there. Wes Warhammer's Doom Factory alone was phenomenal. RMS was so much more fulfilling than DG was last season. This season has been solid and the tight narrative was fantastic. The next special will be amazing and satisfying according to Doc and Jackson, since they're already writing it, and wish it could have been attached to this season. There are always questions answered, questions raised, and new points left open. This time was no different. So fear not, Venturoo. Questions will always be answered with....more questions.

As far as Jonas & BM, their relationship is pretty clear. BM is a vigilante, doing all the dirty work Jonas can't tarnish his image with, and they swing together on the side. Go on family trips to Greece. After a certain plane crash, Jonas turns his good buddy into a cyborg who turns all evil....but I love every tidbit we get and don't want everything given away too quickly. Waiting and getting a piece at a time when you never know it's coming is a huge, yet frustrating joy of VB. There's no sign of them stopping. I hope they draw it out as long as they can.

✌🏻Go Team Venture!

Sure it didn't answer any of the questions brought up this season, but so what, it was still pretty awesome and a great episode on its own.

Red Death was freaking amazing and the Monarch/21's "Holy *beep*, this guy will MURDER us, seriously, we can't mess with him!!" made for a great way to get every faction together and get the Monarch to stop trying to kill guild members.

Totally agree with you. While I liked the season basically cause I'm just a venture junkie, I found the fact that every episode had basically the same plot boring. The fact that they were in NY was pointless and before someone says that I don't understand the nuances of the city I have lived in the Bronx my whole life. They ignored long going stories such as Dermott, the order of the Triad, the Revenge society. Then they introduced a ton of new characters quite frankly the only reason I can think of is the reason GI Joe, Transformers and every other cartoon I liked as a kid did. To sell toys. Look they addressed none of the mystery from the last few seasons, Vendata/monarch/Morpho?, the boys mother, what happened to Molotov. The season was weak and it would be better if they made episodes frequently and they came out more than 6 at a time. I watched an interview with them once where they said they hated introducing new characters and regretted it because people always bothered them about them and they felt they had to write them in more, so why this season introduce so many, granted I know they killed alot but not all. These guys are geniuses but if you just look at the pace.of the show through the seasons it literally just looks like they are lazy. I was 20 the first time I watched this show I'm 32 now I will continue to watch but need to vent my frustration somewhere.

Hilarious season, brought a lot new to the table i thought. And we do get some huge stuff about Monarch and who is dad is. His dad was the *beep* blue morpho, and morpho and Venture senior were swingers together. That's HUGE relevation.

This was a huge season when it comes to backstories. One of the most revealing yet.

That said, the finale was a dissapointment. It didn't feel like a finale at all. The season had no climax. It felt like it was building to something and then we get episode 8 and it just ends like any other normal ep. This felt like a mid season episode to me. Pretty lame. Still a funny ep, but damn, what a ho-hum, anticlimactic, meh way to conclude a great season.

That was the season finale? Geez, they didn't tie up any loose ends. I feel there should be at least two more episode in this season to get things settled.

I wonder if it's just like the prior season where they simply ran out of time/funds to do what they wanted.

That's why we got that amazing one hour special prior to the start of this most recent season. I pretty sure i read that was originally meant to be the previous seasons finale.

Wonder if we'll get something similar before the start of the next season.... in 2 *beep* years haha.

I was fine with the finale other than nothing being resolved between Monarch and his wife. He was treating her pretty crappy and she still didn't learn his identity, which it felt like the whole season was building up to more so than anything else. The move to NYC didn't do much besides add more Marvel and DC spoofs, which was a nice change. Brock and Wonder Woman is an interesting thought.

It didn't feel like a season finale at all. Usually this show has epic ones. Dean didn't have much to do and there were a few other flaws - I kinda wish this was a Netflix show or some other network. Cartoon Network/Adult Swim is too inconsistent when it comes to releasing episodes.

I never saved anything for the swim back.

I thought I was disappointed when "South Park" started have ten-episode seasons. Now that seems generous compared to eight.

Well, aside from not answering many questions for over a decade, I think I do have many positive things to say about the show:

It grows, the characters grow and and age. They go places; it wasn't just six years of hte Monarch attacking Venture at the compound while Brock thwarted him. Characters quit, got new jobs, re-assigned, died, changed who they were, etc. I love how it's been shaken up. Though I'm disappointed 21 fell back into the Monarch gig; I think he was going to go somewhere, even become a good guy.

If the entire season had been sub-par, I would still rate this as a 10/10 simply because of the episode "It Happening One Night".

I tried to think of a quote or two to share with friends at other fora, but this entire episode is a quote. Quite possibly the funniest episode in the whole series.

Here's hoping it isn't going to be 2 years until next season, because they've really nailed it IMHO.

The entire season was fantastic and It Happening One Night was one of the best episode of the series.
