Now, i don't want to make a 1000 pages thread about all the things that are historically wrong in this movie.
It's a fine action flick after all, but many people seem to take this movie as a historical movie. This it is not.

If you want to know more, just go to wikipedia and read some of the articles about Sparta, the Persians, the wars they fought and so on.

I think it is very important to tell the difference between fiction based on history, and actual history.

They should mention that it's not a true story just like they use phrase "inspired by a true story".
This movie is a historical fiction not a normal one. I mean everybody knows spiderman is not real. It's obvious. But when it comes to history people do not look at these kind of movie the same way they look at normal movies like spiderman.
This movie aimed a real war with real sides and claims it's fictional. Yes it's fictional in words but a historical distortion.
If you want to have a fiction why persians should pictured as monsters?! Whats wrong with humans? Iranian reactions are rational. there are many things that you can make a movie with iran's history.even iranian literature. Iran is about 8 times older than US. there is an ugly iranian face propagate by hollywood every times.
They shouldn't expect more than 75 millions iranian just say it's ok just because the director says so
