Blu-Ray
I just bought the blu-Ray steelbook of this movie and it's look SPECTACULAR! If anyone is deciding on whether or not to buy this bluray I definitely recommend it. I then converted it into 3D on my 3D tv which looks beyond awesome

shareAny idea if the standard BluRay has the same transfer as the steel book? I ask because I have the standard DVD, and the picture looks grainy played in my BluRay player on an HD TV. Wal-Mart has the BluRay in their bargain bin for $7.88 and I would upgrade if I knew the picture was better.

You may have already made your choice by now, Fluke, but yes, the Blu-ray transfer is spectacular. If you have the DVD you'll understand the processed look to the picture, intended to reflect its graphic novel origins, but the transfer on the Blu-ray really is way ahead of the DVD.
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
Awesome, thanks for the info, puirt-a-beul. No, I hadn't picked it up yet. I recently re-watched it, so upgrading wasn't a top priority until I got a bit of feedback. It's definitely a film I'll watch enough to warrant an upgrade I think; especially at less than $8.00.

Hope you enjoy it, mate! ;-)

Blurays don't remove the grain from a movie. Grain is good, if you take the grain out, it takes away detail from the picture, so its a trade off.
shareHow did you converted it into 3D?
