Iran was a problem even then.....

The Persians, today's Iranian, were even problematic back in the day. It appears they haven't learned their lesson 2500 years later. I'm certain 300 Navy Seals might well do the trick if called upon to defend us.

You should serioisly consider reading books and history rather than relying on media. The story of the movie 300 is almost a fiction. It is enormously exagerated and modified version of the facts told even by Greek historians. Read books before allowing yourself to write.

You might take your own advice. The Persians were very aggressive and violent. They were tyrants and marauders. They ravaged the lands around them and enslaved or killed most everyone that they came across. Xerxes I was one of the worst among them. He was so hated by his own people that his own bodyguard assassinated him. And yes, I have to agree, their descendants are just as bad.

I believe everyone is being a bit touchy here. My statements might not have been totally accurate since fictionalizing some of the events in the film is a given. However, the overall plot which dealt with a famous battle between two great empires the Greeks and the Persians is absolutely factual.Look in any era hegemonic struggles have existed, it's like galaxies collliding.
As for picking a dog in the fight, that was preordained by the film's evident slant, but also by the fact that our nation as a democracy owes a debt of gratitude to the Greeks for that legacy.
My comments might have seemed a bit frivolous and for that I apologize to our Iranian friends. However,I think even the peace-loving citizens of Iran would agree that their politicians have, in the recent past, made egregious statements which have not served them well.
I might add in closing, that Cyrus the Great, a Persian ruler, was well regarded in his time and does not receive adequate credit in our euro-centric presentation of history. Peace ✌️

It's unlikely Iran could ever nuke Isreal.
