What happened here? I love the movie and all but what the heck happened? Dylan and Sophie didn't show any signs of using their powers. Sophie used to do it all the time but in this movie it's like she's chillin out. And what's the deal with Dylan? He's a witch too so why didn't it affect him when Marnie and Aggie got their magic zapped? If I remember correctly didn't in the first movie he showed signs of having magic when his fingertips started to crackle? And if I'm not mistaken he used his magic 1 time to change Benny from human back to skeleton in the second one. So why exclude his use of magic and Sophie's from the movie? One more question: Where's Luke? There's no mention of him at all in this movie. If Luke was there then he would've been giving Cody a run for his money with liking Marnie. Other than those questions the movie was fine.

You know, I feel exactly the same way. I can't believe they didn't have Luke or that they didn't show Sophie's or Dylan's powers. Also, remember in the Halloweentown II, at the end, Luke said that Kal will be back. How come they didn't mention Kal at all???? Other than that, I loved it.

If you were to watch the credits...the story was by a different guy...only the charaters were based off the first two movies...i was wondering the same thing then i got the movies and i looked at the credits and Halloweentown High's teleplay is by Dan Berendsen and the first and second movies' teleplay was by Paul Bernbaum...that could be the reason that Luke is not in the third movie...

well, im watching the movie right now, and a part just passed, dylan was on the ceiling, and im not sue if he did it but he said "i could stay up here all night" and the lights go out and he says "well i i didnt mean that litterally" or something, and yea, idk i he did it but it went with what he said, and no one was around.

the reason dylan wasn't when aggies and marnies magic was zapped because he eventually lost his powers because he didnt embrace it. i dont know why it didn't affect sophie, come to think of it sophie used her powers like three times in all three movies opening aggies room at the begining of the second movie, opening the portal after midnight and and countering the gray spell at the end of the second. come to think of it marnie and Gwen(the mom) were the only characters who used their powers more and more through out the moviee.

I think that his powers didn't go away he just wasn't useing them. He always prefers not to use magic. Maybe they were hiding his powers for when Cal comes back.

Yeah, even those these Halloweentown movies are kinda bad (I still watch them though, go figure), I hope they have a 4th one where we see Dylan and Sophie really use their powers. I was disappointed when they didn't have Dylan do anything.

Dylan trys to be as normal as possible. He's not into the witchcraft thing. But I agree with the Sophie thing. She would've been into the witchcraft thing, and use her powers more often.

I don't understand what people like so much about this movie. I mean, it's basically not focused on Halloweentown at all, but the high school. And the ending was horrible (in my opinion) too.

Dylan really never wanted to be a warlock he wanted to be normal. He didnt like the idea of having powers. and sophie I dont know what that deal was.

I agree with the people who say that Dylan just didn't feel like using his powers and wanted to be normal. But I was irked he didn't use any.>@<

i think it's stupid how they didn't have dylan or sophie.
But what REALLY ticked me off was that no one even MENTIONED Luke! I mean what the heck!? he was an important character in both of the movies.
and as someone mentioned, why wasn't this about Kal? wasn't he supposed to come back?
Arrrgggg....

this is why i didn't even bother watching the whole movie....

also it says the Marnie's name is Marnie Piper, wasn't it cromwell?
They changed 2 many things!

Marnie Last name is Piper. Cromwell is her Grandmother's. I hated that Sophie and Dylan didnt show any sign of powers. I hope Sophie has a bigger part in the next movie.
