They used to do this often a couple of seasons back I wonder i they will go back to that. seeing the title for this season final episode "ring of Fire" maybe it could be an earthquake?
shareThis was terrible season finale... they should've focused on Hunt's reunion instead of spending a ridiculous and unrealistic amount time searching for Edwards and the kid. First of all, she shouldn't have even survived the blast, seeing as she was running directly at the tanks when they exploded... and then she's almost completely unscathed. And then it took ages to find them when in real life it would have taken them five minutes. Not that I love Edwards, but they should have gotten rid of Jo or Maggie instead if they needed to trim the cast. I'm glad Minnick got fired though... Arizona and her were obnoxious together.

I don't know if they were trimming the cast but knew the actress who portrayed Edwards was leaving the show. So, I think they wanted to give her a ending episode for her character to leave.
I did not like Minnick it was Cahill all over again. I wish some characters could just get medical storylines and not have relationships as primary...like Arizona could've been single..she didn't have to paired up with Minnick.
Yeah I was beginning to like single Arizona... Not that she shouldn't find love, but then she began to forget about her friends because of Minnick. I wonder who will be the sister... they already used an actress... but I'm guessing there might be a new one because they didn't show her face.
It makes sense if the actress wanted to leave... that whole generation of interns were duds. Maybe a new class will come.
