DVD Deleted Scenes Mistake?
I kind of have to set this up and explain my inquiry, so bear with me. It's kind of difficult to describe what I'm talking about, so please be nice when replying.
Last week, I was watching the Special Features from the Evan Almighty DVD. One of the Special Features is the Deleted or Extended Scenes. If I'm not mistaken, these scenes are not titled or numbered. You just play them all and that's it.
So I think the very last deleted scene is a scene where everybody gets on the ark. About three quarters of the way into this deleted scene, a flash of something very strange caught my eye. It's just a little bit past the point in the scene where the camera zooms in on the back of a guy's right calf and a big splash of water enters the frame. So I rewound it, pressed play and then pressed the Slow button on my remote. I looked at it frame by frame, and BAM - there it was. I saw this unisex figure and a dog walk up the loading ramp of the ark. But that's not what's weird. What's weird is that the figure and the dog were super pixilated. They literally looked like something out of a "Money for Nothing" music video. They were worse than video games. They had no detail whatsoever, and everything was very square and blocky. They looked like Legos or something! It was so weird! Maybe I'm just out of the loop and I missed something. I don't know.
I mean this movie apparently has some insurmountable budget, and somehow they manage to do this? It just seems weird to me. Is it really possible to forget to finish some of the CGI? What exactly happened?
If anyone on IMDB is actually able to find what I'm talking about, I'd be amazed, and even moreso if someone knows what happened.
P.S., I just realized the irony of my signature and it's connection to this movie . . . but it's purely coincidental, I promise!
