Sentimental DRIVEL

I'm actually a Carell fan but.....

Where were the jokes?

This movie was the most laugh-free sentiment-filled cackfest ever committed to celluloid. And I've seen The Neverending Story. Most films at least START funny before laying on the "I've learnt to appreciate spending time with my kids" puke-inducing cliche. I would rather drill a hole in a large potato, fill it with rancid cream cheese, boil it in a vat of liquidized fresh donkey excrament and feed the resulting stew to some starving orphans than watch this mushy, poorly written sentimental abomination of a movie again.

Seriously it stank.

I agree. This movie was not funny at all. Nothing is more sad than seeing a man TRY to be funny. It failed at all levels for me.

Yep...And I always thought Morgan Freeman had some taste...Where did all the money go?..Why wasn't this pushed straight to video?..Answer: hyped sky-high to attempt to recoup that lost money...

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe...

I know right! Not only was it unfunny but it was so goddamned sentimental, it makes me want to puke! It makes Spielberg look like Kubrick!
