Bruce and Evan Almighty, Christian movies

I was very pleased to see that the foundational beliefs behind both films
is actually very Christian, Protestant Christian to be exact.

Now, it's still a movie so people shouldn't go nit-picking at every ridiculous part
to say that proves God isn't real or Christianity is a fake. That's just absurd. It's a movie people. How dumb are you?

But the foundational beliefs are rooted in Protestant Christianity.
Here's the evidence: God in the Bible comes in the form of man (Jesus) to be amongst
us, to be as one of us, and yet he is still God Almighty at the same time.

God, in both movies (morgan freeman) appears as one of them "human" when he's a janitor and sweeping the floors, or when he appears as a waiter tending to Evan's wife and saying how he has to serve people (Jesus). Yet, he's still fully God.

This is protestant or evangelical christianity. When Bruce wants to meet the head honcho, he thinks the janitor is not him and that the next guy the janitor reveals will be the big boss, only to find out they are the same person.

It's a great family film. Some really great quotes, especially about when we pray for things, God doesn't just drop it on our laps, but he gives us the opportunities to get what we prayed for.

Other than that, the rest is just a movie.....it's meant to have some ridiculous or unrealistic parts, so viewers shouldn't judge God or an entire faith/religion based on a movie LOL. It's amazing how dumb people are on this thread pointing out flaws about the movie and using that as evidence to somehow prove that means Christianity or God is unreal. But what you can do....when people are dumb enough to elect Bush, Obama, and now Hillary (oops....i spoiled it....oh well..now you know. Hillary is the next President), you can't be surprised anymore.

They work if you suspend disbelief for Christianity like you would for any implausible sci-fi technology or horror movie monster or super hero in a costume. It's not preaching at you like "Christian" movies, it's simply using the religion as a plot device.

That being said, Bruce Almighty had a bit more edge to it than Evan Almighty.
