What was Carlos's job?

Looking back at the series, I find it interesting that of the 4 women, Gabrielle was the most materialistic and most well-off, with many plotlines revolving around money or the lack of it. Yet, she is the one where we don't know much about where that money came from. We know Carlos had high-earning corporate jobs, but besides that we really don't know what he was actually doing. Was the a finance guy? A business major? Data analytics? In marketing? (probably not because then he wouldn't have hired Lynette, another marketing professional). He was described as a "shark" (ruthless businessman) multiple times in the series and looking back, I find it funny that we never really knew what he actually did, or what industry he even worked in.

And this is even more interesting when we have such a clear understanding of how other characters made their money:
Susanne - children's book illustrations + Mike - plumber
Bree - Doctor husbands, family money and then later the catering business
Lynette - Marketing executive and later restaurant owner.

And then we have Gabrielle an ex-model and eventual personal shopper, and Carlos taking care of her. Except he is the only one where we don't have a clear idea of what he did except the general "he was a businessman" blanket. And he was a masseur for that short time.

Come to think of it, you are right. I forgot it was never mentioned.

Susan briefly worked at her son's school too in later seasons. I think she was an art teacher. She alerted her ex husband Carl about his son's emotional issues, when he was drawing disturbing, violent images.

Oh wow I totally forgot about that. True.

Edie was a real estate agent. I forgot what her last husband did. He was the blond guy who had a mental breakdown when Susan accidentally killed his wife and daughter in a car accident.

When did Gabi become a personal shopper?
