Questions??

1. Is "The Chumscrubber" a real video game? Is it well-known? I know who the Chumscrubber was, but what does the name mean?

2. Did Ralph Fiennes' character suffer brain damage when he fell (in the flashback at the pool) or was he just gradually having a mental breakdown, culminating in walking into the pool and painting dolphins all over the walls? And why dolphins?

3. So Billy didn't die after being hit by the police car?

4. Why didn't Charlie try to escape from his kidnappers?

I loved the movie and what a talented cast!

I doubt it -- probably some artistic metaphor or statement about society

Unsure about brain damage...he definitely had some kind of epiphany, As for the dolphins, I don't waste too much time trying to think about the symbolism. Whenever one of these allegorical writers is asked what is meant, they respond, however the viewer/reader interprets it.

3. So Billy didn't die after being hit by the police car?

No, they showed him in prison being accosted by prisoner bullies.

4. Why didn't Charlie try to escape from his kidnappers?

I think until the end he was enjoying hanging out with a group of older, "cooler" seniors. Definitely some parallels with Alphadog.

Agreed! Cast and performances great....plot...intriguing but weird
