DVD Features: UK vs. US

I'm not really sure about all the features that will be included, but I have been told by an avid fan who looks into all such things that the version to buy in December is the Canadian version available at Amazon.ca as that will include 10 episodes rather than the US version which will only include 7. And Canadian dvd is the same as US compatible so its fine for US dvd players.

Having just received the UK 3-disc version, I can confirm that it contains the following features:

• Ewan and Charley talk about the dusty road and Charley's puncture

The actual packaging of the set does not actually detail each of these features individually, which is perhaps why amazon did not list them fully. I've quickly skimmed the extras on the disc, but having not seen all the episodes yet I decided not to look too in-depth, but it doesn't look like they're *that* substantial. The First Five Days is over 17-minutes long, but the rest tend to average under 5-minutes each, some considerably less so. Obviously, taken all together, this may well prove to be a worthwhile set of extras, but bear in mind each segment is only a short featurette. That in mind, I'd definitely go with the UK version, or indeed any version that includes the 10 extended episodes, since in a way the additional footage included within these episodes effectively makes it a more substantial 'extras' package.
