DVD Problem?

I ordered the dvd from the Canadian Amazon site www.amazon.ca and initially all was good until around episode 4 in Kazakhstan and the dvd images start stopping and these little digital bits start appearing on the screen. They appear off and on in the later episodes but not causing the dvd to stop like Episode 4.

I tried other dvds and they work great. I ordered another copy for the hell of it and once again on the same episode in around the same spot. It happened again. Is this happening to anyone else?

I just watched episode 4 on DVD last night, but I didn't experience any problems; however, I own the region 4 Australian one. Maybe it could be your DVD player or your just unlucky and they've sent you two crappy DVD's.

I own the Region 1 NTSC dvd and my player is a Region 1 NTSC. Just unlucky I guess who knows? I found some sites on the internet where some people were having problems with the interviews on the 3rd disc not coming up. I haven't checked that part out yet.

I too have encountered the same problem, in the same episode. Exactly as you described. I returned the DVD to the store and exchanged it for another one, thinking it was a manufactering defect. But the same with it too! I have no idea. Some sort of glitch?! What to do?

Yeah, I bought a copy last night from HMV in Vancouver, the same thing happened to me watching the 4th episode gets really choppy and eventually stops with about 10-12 minutes left. Maybe its a bad batch sent to Canada or something,who knows. I guess there is no point in returning it. The concept of this series it awesome. OLN is showing them, but only 6-7 episodes and they are all condensed, I was surprised at how much more there is on the DVD, does anyone know if the DVD version is what aired in the UK?

I ordered mine from Amazon Canada and have the same problem.

1. I couldn't start Disk 1 in my DVD player (I had to press play, then quickly hit skip. The dvd would freeze on 1 second)

2. Episode 4 starts to break down at the exact same spot.

Looks like issue with DVDs issued in Canada.

PS - it works fine on my Xbox

I have now found out that episode 7 will not even start and 6 starts to screw up too around the 15 minute mark, damn, these are the best episodes too and the coolest part of the trip, I think I will see if I can exchange it for another one. The rest of the episodes play fine, this is really odd. I should give it a try in my PS2, although the DVD player on that thing sucks, weird that it will work in your Xbox.

I ordered my copy from Canada and haven't had any problems so far - I have watched the first 5 episodes with no problems at all. Sorry you're having trouble with yours...
