How good was that?

I only watched it last night on DVD. But I watched it all! I couldn't stop. Everything else took a back seat for the night. Yes! Get in!

This was the best money i have ever spend on a DVD... couldn't stop watching. Ewan was maybe the one that triggered my curiosity but soon Charley was my star of the show !! What a team!

How did you get the DVD???? I only have it on blank tape, and I would love to get it on DVD.

I wasn't really into Ewan McGregor before this!
Seen a lot of his stuff.. never thought much of it. But i have to say after watching this, i love him! He's so funny and down to Earth! I also have a passion for motorbikes so finding out he shares it and seeing him on them (even though it was a BMW *gags*)...RAWR! =D

When this was on American television, I watched it too. When I finally found the DVD, I did the same thing, just wanting to watch a few hours. My wife and I ended up watching it to the end. What a journey, I wish I had the funds to make an around the the world tour on my motorcycle. I had a few tears also when Ewan's dad showed up at the end. Classic television, better than the rest of the 'reality' crap on TV these days.

It's just great.
I originally started watching it on TV but it came out on DVD about half way through and I just had to buy it. Sat down and watched it all (even the episodes I'd already seen) all in one go. I kept saying, just one more episode...just one more episode.
Anyway, bought the extended edition and watched it over three nights this time, just finished tonight. Keen to get the book now.

Man I'm reading all these posts and realizing that we all had about the same experience with this series. I caught it the first time a couple days after this past X-Mas and the same thing happened to me! It was a Sunday afternoon and I think it was like the 3rd ep or something and I started watching it and then I could't stop. They were showing it as a marathon so I ended up watching the whole thing all in one go - all of my plans for that day went completely out the window.

Then they replayed it yet AGAIN the next weekend and I watched the whole thing again (this time from the beginning) and then a couple days later rented the DVD. I proceeded to watch that from beginning to end and then brought it over to a friend's house and though we started watching really late...she was soon so hooked that after each episode she kept saying "shall we watch just one more?" until about 3:30 in the morning!!

I still haven't bought the DVD but that's only because I keep hearing that there's a 10 episode version and I'm hoping that gets released in the States soon. Until then I'm going to buy the book, as a matter of fact I'm going to do that right now..........

*heads off to Amazon.com*

reply

I don't think the 10 episode version is going to be released in the States but it has been released in Canada, which is the same DVD region as the States. So go to Amazon.ca and you can get it there.

I loved the series on TV and bought the 7 episode dvd and then the 10. Bought both books. The original one and the coffee table book. Great reading and great photography. These guys are as down to earth as you can get and still be very well off. They are really sweet and don't have any aires about them. I like that they are very careing about children and support UNICIEF.Great Guys.
