I replied to your other post on "Ewan McGregor". Hope it works for you. This is a fantastic show, one that should be shown in all high school geography or culture classes. IT'S A SHAME it isn't available in the U.S.!!!

Region 0 is the other way to say that the dvd is all region, means you should be able to play it, no matter what region your player is. However, it's in PAL system. I don't know from which country you are, but in the U.S. and Japan, the system used is NTSC. So even if you have a multi region dvd player, if you don't have a multi system TV, I believe you will be ended in watching the dvd in black and white instead of in colour. BTW, on the back of the dvd cover, it says 'all region' and not 'region 0'.

Please note, too, that the official website www.longwayround.com mentions that the dvd is not compatible for the U.S.A.

reply

That isn't true, because I don't have a multi-region TV, but when changed the code on my DVD player to region "0" it played the UK Long Way Round just fine.

Hmm i was always told that Region "0" is the same as region "2"

I don't know what region 2 is but region 0 means no region, or regionless, or region free, i.e. you can play any DVD from any region.

I don't know much about this. But my Toshiba DVD player plays it fine. And my Sony player won't play it at all - using the same TV.

(It's the UK DVD - and I'm in the US). But you can now get the US version on Amazon.

Region 0 means region free, it will work in any DVD player of any region.
