What happened with New DVD release?

According to Amazon.com, a new 3 disc ten episode DVD set was supposed to have come out in the US on July 29. But a new message on Amazon says that the manufacturer has ceased production and it's no longer available. No store is carrying it, so I'm wondering if anyone has an answer as to what happened? I can't seem to find any info about this.

I would also like to know the answer to this. I would be buying that now if it were out...

Australia has copies of them.
I recently bought long way round and it's the 10 episode special edition.
