Never came on in Canada!

I was looking forward to LWR for so long and it NEVER came on here in Canada. I had hoped I could at least watch it on DVD, but that didn't even seem to work out since it STILL isn't out here.

Maybe the not showing it here has something to do with the story I heard about Ewan being hit by the Canadian kid's car. :-p It's a conspiracy against Canadians! :-p

Anyway, I was just wondering if there are other disgruntled Canadians (or people from other countries that also did not get it) who want to voice their annoyances now, long after it has come and gone in the UK and US...

It is true Both riders Ewan and Charlie got knocked off their bikes in Canada and both in the same city Ewan was very lucky not to have been killed as his crash was from behind at 50mph they traveled all across europe and alaska then got knocked off two times in the same day in Canada.

Well considering the two stars are British, and it was made in Britain it is strange that it was never shown on TV here either

It WAS on TV here. Sky One showed it on a Monday evening in November/December 2004. They also repeated it on Sky Travel the following Wednesday.

I remember because I got the book while on a school trip to Bristol and missed the beginning of the penultimate episode. I also spent most of the following Monday desperately trying to finish the book before the last episode came on.

I know they stopped in Dawson Creek and Calgary but they barely showed any of it in any of the episodes. I was hugely disappointed!

The Outdoor Life Network (OLN) in Canada has it running now.

It was played here in Canada recently on the OLN (Outdoor Life Network), it just finished up a few weeks ago. It was a bit edited, so I highly recommend watching the DVD version if you get a chance.

yeah what an impression calgary made on them... both Ewan and Charley (barely though) got into accidents. A kid nearly injured Ewan and Charley almost got knocked over. Man I can see why they barely showed it lol... and i'm Canadian myself.

Well you know what they say. 'Never drive in Richmond, BC or with an Albertan'

I think Ewan got hit on the Deerfoot in Calgary which is a really bad highway. This is another example of why we shouldnt give 16 year old kids their license. The kid must of been surprised, not only did he nearly kill a famous actor but they get him on camera looking like the moron he is.

I loved this show! I'm Canadian (living in London UK). I was initially a bit disappointed that Canada got so little airtime... but then I don't blame them. This documentary was primarily about passing through the TOUGH countries (Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia) and the EASY countries (France, Belgium, Germany, Canada, etc.) were only there out of necessity. Moreover, they'd have been driving very fast through the easy countries (to make up time) and would have stopped and lingered for shorter times.

I'm a bit embarrassed at the crap drivers in Calgary! But not to worry my fellow Canadians... I know that Ewan has a positive impression of Canada. He went to Churchill, Manitoba, after all...
