Was Nancy the backup target if the Roarks didn't find Cordilia?

They wanted to break Harritagan, and if they couldn't find the letter writer, she would be an obvious substitute target.

Hell, they might have been planning to kill her all along. It would make Harritagan's sacrifice of his career and marriage be for nothing.

They couldn't find either of them. I think it's because Nancy hid in Old Town, where the Mob can't go to check on her. All they have to go on is "Cordelia". So they stopped allowing the letters to get to him to make him think they found her.

Nancy was Cordillia wasnt she?

Nancy just signed the letters as 'Cordilia' so they wouldnt know was from her.

So not sure what you mean by asking if "Nancy was the backup target...."
