It is hard to imagine a bigger culprit, and I thought Transformers and Star Trek were bad.

No, because there's almost the same amount of white. LINCOLN even says so at the beginning.

James Cameron bathes everything in blue light, Michael Bay, turquoise and sepia.

I hear ya - it's awful. Think how much better it would be if it was just in natural color like an '80s or before movie.
