I would have to pick AnnaSophia Robb for Rapunzel. I said on another thread that she's the actress who looks most like her, but I really think her personality fits the role as well.

I'm feeling Rena Sofer for the queen (she plays Snow White's mom on Once Upon a Time and is good as a benevolent queen, and I also think she looks like the Tangled queen).

Not sure about any of the others. Since this movie is only a few years old, it's not inconceivable that the actors who actually voiced the animated characters would also play them in a live-action version, so I'd probably stick with a lot of the same ones. Unfortunately, Mandy Moore is too tall to be at all believable as the real Rapunzel (5'10", while animated Rapunzel seems quite petite).

Just kidding. Ten years ago, and if a brunette was allowed, I'd have said Emmy Rossum as Rapunzel, because she has big eyes like a Disney character, and can sing pretty well. Because I KNOW Rapunzel has to be a blonde, would she be a good singer (I don't know about that), I'd have gone with Georgina Haig.

As for now, I truly don't know. Because the thing is, the actress has to be young enough, unlike most A-list Hollywood actresses, and I can't find any teen actress who fits. Britt Robertson is okay, but not beautiful enough for the part imo.

As Mother Gothel, I'd choose an actress who plays the good guy too often imo, like Amy Adams, for example. Or Jennifer Connelly. They're both prettier than the movie's Gothel, but it doesn't change anything.

I would pick Elisabeth Harnois for Rapunzel. Just watch My Date With the President's Daughter she reminds me of Rapunzel in it.
