shareI hated it too. He was so irritating, I Just couldn't stand him. And one more thing, I couldn't stop thinking that he's like Woody from the Toy Story!!!

Did either of you two see the South Park episode where the character based upon Michael Jackson kept accusing everyone of ignorance when they disagreed with his action? That's what this reminds me of.
I think this was a bad film, plain and simple. However it was just a movie, not an issue of social prejudice or any other comparable issue, so please don't think my view is based upon being "ignorant" or needing to be "open minded". Contrary to what you appear to believe, it is possible for people to dislike without having such character flaws.

Norton is called a sell-out for doing films like Down In The Valley---
By who? Not by anyone in this thread, so if you're going to defend him, try to stick to answering criticisms that have been made, rather than just ones that nobody here has brought up.
Thanks Edward. This movie was worth your genius and your career!
shareI can understand that fans are disapointed, but you need to be open minded. The story was alright, but Edward's acting (like all the other actors) was outstanding and that is what took the movie to a upper level.
sharethis movie was amazing, what is wrong with you people?
shareIt's a great film!
It's my second greatest performance of his behind American History X

Amen! Norton is called a sell-out for doing films like Down In The Valley & The Painted Veil. I admire him for taking the time to do these small films. I'd call him a sell-out if he'd only do only big-budget Hollywood films...Lord knows a lot of tasteful actors have lost their taste and sold their soul after a big Boxoffice hit.
