is there anywhere in the movie that it's been said how old tobe is?

I think Wade says something along the lines of "breaking the law with a minor."

Evan Rachel Wood was 18 and Edward Norton was 36 at the time of the shooting. I don't think it's that unusual, you see a lot of girls who don't mind a time difference of 10 years or more. So it's realistic, wouldn't call it pedophelia, although it obviously raises ethical questions

It was released at Cannes in May 2005, and she turned 18 in September so she must have been 17 at the most at the time of filming.

Ironically, this isn't even ironic at all.

According to info on this site, Evan Rachel Wood was born Sept 7th 1987 and one of the filming dates for 'DITV' is given as 29th February 2004 which would make her 16.
The age of the character was not given apart from the 'minor' reference so I assume that Evan was playing Tobe as a girl her own age.

well her carachter was only 17...Evan's performance was amazing as usual though, she's just so good and lots of fun to look at too!

Yeah but she kind of repulses me now that she's with Marilyn Manson. Makes me think she's more than a little crazy. I think ( hope) she's just with Manson (who's twice her age so the movie is realistic :-s) to gain fame...
