I was born and raised in the Valley and I didn't recognize one place. Where the hell was this shot? It loooks like the hills of Topanga. If it is, that's hardly the Valley. It's more of PCH/Malibu.

Part of it was shot in Woodland Hills (at the Platt Village Gas stations) - then other parts look like the tarzana/encino area. And it does look like Topanga in certain scenes - which while I agree it isn't really "the valley", it works. The opening scene on the bridge/overpass looks like it is in Pasadena/Glendale. A bit scattered, but only Cali kids would notice.

well thier was an obvious shot of Vanowen in one of the scenes. so around their

yah i saw platt and vanowen streets so i would guess canoga park and west hills. some of the mountain scenes im pretty sure were in chatsworth and simi valley.

I recognized Platt Avenue and Vanowen from the street signs but nothing else.
When they picked up Harlan at the gas station, the street sign said "Platt", which is only in the west valley.
A few scenes later, they showned "Vanowen", with a plane landing, and it looked like the corner of Vineland & Vanowen, the right by Burbank Airport.
When Harlan and the kid were shooting at the Dam, that was up in Sylmar/Sun Valley.
it was shot fortitude valley ofcourse.

When they were shooting, with the magnum. Thats actually inside Hansen Dam. Right above the platform. you have to climb down there pretty cool. It's in Pacoima area. And when their riding the horses that's in sylmar.
