Psycho Cowboy

If the movie was renamed to Psycho Cowboy, and make it a bit more darker theme, I believed this movie would make a lot of money, instead of a huge loss, on an investment of 8,000,000 with partial return 500,000 because I (just me) expected to be a Romantic Cowboy.

The Cowboy is a Romantic to be sure, among other things. The Cronenberg version of The Fly is a love story. Always delete all expectations before experiencing art. The less known before hand, the better.

Words to live by, or at least to try.

I think the title of this film is appropriately abstract and gives nothing away. I knew little about this film, but expected a romantic Western based on the cover art. What I got was much better.

This is far from a perfect film. Ed Norton's character could have been a lot better, and David Morse's character was too shrill for my taste, but it's highly watchable and beautifully directed.
