I found them with a bunch of similarities, storiwise, as well as the character development, in both movies...
am i the only one?

There are definitely similarities between those 2 movies. I was also thinking of taxi driver especially during the mirror scene.

Yep, it reminded me of The King as well. I think I preferred that film though.
