I don't think so because he did shoot her. I think in the beginning she really liked him but before he shot her she did have doubts.
the seond he admitted to taking her brother out shooting, things changed.
she realised that her father wasn't making it up, and that Harlan had done something so reckless, both with her little brothers safety, and with the relationship with her father.
She realised then that he was not quite what he said he was, and then thats where doubt comes into play, and infactuation starts to evaporate.
