the real hero

the real hero of the story was the dad; the poor guy was like in a Kafkian universe or the Twilight Zone.
This is the creepiest movie I've seen in a while, with the creepiest of psychos Harlan, so creepy convinced two little kids with his lies and then hurt them so bad almost to death; all characters were so unlikeable, including the dad who I was hoping to catch this lunatic and torture and finish him. Not enough relief at the end.
Crazy girl, crazy boy, crazy cowboy, weak dad, even after the war, shouldve been more firm with the kids, couldve finish the ordeal before it got out of hand by punching the guy in the face or calling the police earlier.
No point to the story except maybe try too hard to make you like the lunatic; didnt work for me.

There was no hero, or perhaps the kid, but certainly not the dad. Firmer?? Don't you see it's his fault if his children are so detached from him. The harsher he was, the stronger they loved Harlan.

I was hoping to catch this lunatic and torture and finish him

Sicko.

"Harsher"? hahaha

"Sicko" thanks :), but you should learn how to spell, maybe grab a dictionary?

Obviously you don't understand a single thing of story telling.

If you read well I was making fun of him calling the dad harsh, because he wasn't. And I criticized the slang "sicko".
Not that it matters, it was two years ago. I have forgotten about this.
