So....
Right at the end, after Charles kills Le Rouche, that cop guy says "You came in here with the shank. That's pre-determined murder". He then says "The law don't care who you kill. Sadly, the law didn't care much for Winston, either", then they just look at each other and Charles walks away. The cop said that he knew La Rouche killed Winston and earlier said he would 'crucify the man who killed him', so did the cop just let Charles walk away because he had got the man that the cop wanted so badly?
By the cop's response, saying " The law don't care who you kill", that would imply he knew what Charles had just been through. If so, how did he know?
It just doesn't make sense otherwise.
