it is a copy of Nicole kidman's "Nadia" movie and surprisingly Vincent Cassel is playing the same character in both movies.....

Birthday Girl. The Plots share some similarities, but I'd hardly call it a rip off.

When i first saw Derailed (2005) i though it was remake of Birthday Girl (2001) or something. Anyway i find Birthday Girl (2001) to be much better.

Hah "Nadia" movie, you mean Birthday Girl. Anyways no these aren't the same with some big holes in the story making them different. Also this was a better structured movie than Birthday Girl which isn't saying much cause there were parts that were lacking and the general pacing of the movie wasnt dont all that well which i think Birthday Girl did have a good handle on.
