You can see the Twist coming a mile away...
It was so damn obvious. Kind of like the twist in 'Righteous Kill'. Filmmakers are getting lazy these days...

shareI thought the RZA was part of the con.... until he got blasted.
I didn't see the real twist coming until much later, after Clive went to deliver the $100K. Jennifer Aniston as one of the bad guys? I didn't see it coming, but it did make sense once all the pieces started coming together.
That ending in the laundry room, I wouldn't have guess that, either. It was pretty good and I was surprised, so I re-wounded the scene and watched it again but was disappointed with all the "dialoging" back and forth right before the shank attack.

Whatever. That's what spell check called it. You know what the hell I meant.

Well, it isn't much common a word. I see people on these boards making the dumbest mistakes when it comes to their native language - it seems a whole bunch of people don't know the difference between "they're" and "their", "his" and "he's etc. (I am not counting technical mistakes - when one just hits the wrong keys, it could happen to anyone, but when a person writes the word the same way all the time this is obviously not the case) so I guess it is normal for someone to get confused when it comes to rewind - "rewound" is the correct form of course, but to tell You the truth after I saw for the first time somebody typing the word "bestest" nothing can surprise me anymore.
Women are like deer - You can't just charge in, you gotta stalk 'em...
I am sorry..wait..you are saying..are you trying to say that you think you are of above average intelligence because...you didn't know there were people out there that stupid?..that in fact, in the US these days, its getting close to being a majority of the people?
The simple fact that someone typing "bestest" was the end-all of surprises for you just shows how oblivious you are in the first place and makes you sound god-damn retarded. But you write your post as if you think you are one of the intelligent people....wow.
Sorry, no animals in the discussion hall. You have to dismount your high horse to participate.
Are you kidding? I called the "twist" when they were "caught" in the motel room. My brain immediately thought, "Huh, I bet she's in on it, and they're conning him." I haven't gotten to the end of the movie yet, but thanks to your comments about Aniston being "one of the bad guys," that tells me I was right.
Too predictable. And they really should have gone with a better actress. Aniston is just very overrated.
Something that really bothered me though, was the interaction between the cop, the hooker, and what'shisname. I'm sorry, yeah, I know there are corrupt cops everywhere, but the interaction between these three was completely UNbelievable. No cop would protect a hooker like that. I was expecting what'shisname to get busted the moment he handed the money over to the hooker, and was surprised when he wasn't.
This was just not a good movie overall.
I made the mistake of pausing this about halfway through. At that point, I found it fairly engaging and intriguing. By the time I picked it up again, I'd had time to think through the plot holes. (For example: We know everything about Clive's family but Jennifer's family is unseen.) So then the "twists" in the second half all start falling into place as you might anticipate.
shareNot seeing her family isn't a plot hole and only the overly suspicious would question that only the main character's family and work friends are featured.

Agreed.
The only twist that surprised me was the one in the last 10 minutes of the film.
