Same Storyline as SPOILERS

Birthday Girl....the woman acts innocent while the bad guy blackmails the male lead...only to find out that the woman was in on it...the only difference is the nationality and Birthday Girl was a mail order bride, not a casual pickup

It is also very similar to a film with Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor called Deception. A woman pretends to be innocent while Jackman blackmails McGregor. As soon as I saw this I thought of the other film. Same old Same old.

I thought it was very similar to 'Original Sin' with Angelina Jolie & Antonio Banderas.

Actually deception copied derailed - not the other away around. Deception was an extremely poor ripp-off of Derailed and was nauseatingly tryng ot hard to be edgy/sexy - made me cringe!

Where is your sig line from?

And I can see the similarities to "Birthday Girl" but they are actually quite different when you look closer.

Maybe there's an invisible hand guiding me to all that's great and good.

Actually, all of these movies are riffing on the "Double Indemnity" storyline.

Right, it's a femme fatale/Noir archetype.
