Why did Charlie and his wife stop kissing?

because the Director yelled CUT!

reply

He can't get a perfect boner. Their body is lacking chemistry

reply

Parents with a seriously ill child can become extremely germ conscious, even to the point of not kissing. (Remember Chris kissing Lucinda without touching her lips?) The moment between the parents also showed the strain the illness placed on their marriage.

reply

He DID kiss Lucinda on the lips. But I agree that the marriage was strained.

I took it as he couldn't get an erection. It sometimes happens in a relationship. But I think the director was trying to show that Clive was thinking more about Aniston at that moment and couldn't perform or he was saving it for her. And some women don't mind if the husband can't get it up all the time, there are other ways to please her. I'd shove his damn head down there and put him to work, for instance.

reply

I think that's possible.

Another possibility is: they got carried away with the passion for a moment and then both became conscious of the fact that they have a sick kid and the thought of having sex made them feel guilty.
