I don't hate this film it has a decent story. But my issue with it is the lack of likeable characters. The children are naughty in a bad way not a cheeky, handsome, charming way, Nanny McPhee was horrible until the last half hour. The only good characters were colin firth's character, the maid and the horse. Anybody else share this view?
(im not bashing this film its pretty good, but...)
I liked Evangeline the most. And Nanny McPhee wasn't unlikable. She gave everybody what they really wanted and needed. The children were supposed to be naughty, not cute which is why all the other nannies left.
so you think nanny mcphee should be nice to naughty children as in a bad way and not do bad things to them to teach them a lesson, i just thought she was putting on an act and punishing the children by making them unable to stop being naughty in the kitchen and putting themselves in danger and also making them unable to get out of bed and giving them measle symptoms and feeding them the horrible medicine, after that they never played up and so nanny mcphee lost the things that made her look ugly. She got nicer towards the end and so did the children.
"sir, sir, i gotta check and see if you've soiled yourself, I'll get to you in a moment, sir!"
i didnt say that, i just said she really wasnt a very appealing/interesting character IMO and nor were the children, but yes they did become nicer toward the end but even so
I wanted to ring the kids by their necks honestly haha, but then you see the reasoning behind the way they are and I think that makes them more lovable. Seriously, they really are starved for attention from their father. Nanny McPhee was great. She doesn't do anything to make me dislike her. All her actions went according to the kids' actions.
