Again with the colours

Anyone else think there are way too many films like this that are just too damn bright with Primary colours everywhere ? You usually see them in really low budget made for tv films that have loads of neon, and fish eye lens camera work.

I think its horrid myself. Anyone agree ?

I loved the colors, I felt it brought a storybook quality to the film. I felt the wonderful use of color was almost a separate character.

Wouldn't be so bad if the paint job was good instead of looking like the kids painted the walls.

I felt like the bright colors added to the strangeness of the film. I'm kind of a sucker for films that are colorful, like Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Spy Kids and this movie.

Totally agree! The colors are a big reason for loving a film---contrary to what some might think, they don't just accent a film, sometimes, they MAKE THE FILM! And, for those of us who feel like we are witnessing a magical other-world when we see them, that's a good thing! Tim Burton has a tendency to either go Gothic w/ blacks, whites, and grays, or go all rainbow in his movies. And, Nanny McPhee had a very Burtonesque feel, if I do say so. I loved it!!

I am the movies I love! (^_^)

I adored the colours in this film. They helped tell the story and made it a sumptuous visual treat.

I would have liked a lot more colour in the Harry Potter films as well, they became so dark (in visual terms) that I almost felt as if I was going blind watching them.

Apologies for typos, this was typed with the help of two kittens, Lara and Oz.
