Why was the Cleary wedding over so early in the day? They get married. There is a reception. They eat. They dance. Jeremy bones Gloria.

And then they're all back at their mansion with plenty of daylight left. They even play football and sit down for a formal dinner.

I've been to plenty of weddings and usually the dance after the reception goes
long into the night.

I can't figure out why this one was over so quickly. Would it have something to do with the Cleary family's wealth?

Daylight Saving Time? On the east coast it doesn't get fully dark until almost 9:00 pm. Plus it could have been a mid-morning wedding.

I think it was just for dramatic purposes. I have no idea where the poster above got that load of nonsense about daylight savings on the East coast or whatever such rubbish but usually you would expect a wedding to continue late into the evening.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking!

Funny- just watched this and commented to my wife that this must be the world's longest day yet, or the wedding started at 8AM.
