Hi all,

First of all, just to let you know I'm a UK viewer and new to the show. I'm trying to play catch up to you guys, so please be gentle :) I'm currently upto season 5 but in episode 4x20 when Hawkes calls Lindsay 'Montana' by accident and Lindsay states she's missed being called that, it got me thinking...

When she first came into the show, she got annoyed at Danny because he kept calling her Montana and she stated she wasn't even from there. But when she goes back home in season 3 to testify in court, we're told she was in Montana. And I know she goes back home again later in season 5 from what I've read online.

Am I completely forgetting something or did the writers forget she originally said she wasn't from Montana?

I'm pretty sure in the first episode she appeared in, it was mentioned either by Lindsay or someone else, that she was the new CSI from Montana, .

Perhaps she was fairly new and she just didn't like being called Montana.

Maybe she was born somewhere else and moved to Montana when she was very young.
