When Leonard said "That's the $ 64, 000 Question", I wonder if that was a nod to Rob Morrow having been in the film "Quiz Show".

Good catch. I didn't notice. And that might be the other explanation... it's such a cliched piece of dialogue in TV shows and movies! It might've alreeady been in the script.
That was one of the first lines I said in a school play decades ago!
