season 9 to be the last?

Obviously so early in the season its hard to say - and last year it was assumed that NY would get the chop over Miami... but it doesnt look good when they only have an 18 ep order...

that being said, i'm enjoying this season so far... if the showrunners/writers/cast all "assume" its the last season they will give good episodes and go out on a high!

:-D

I hope this isn't the last season, too, and agree they should go out on a high whenever the end is. I was looking at past episode info and noticed that season 8 had 18 episodes. Don't know about you, but that makes me feel a little better.

If you all are watching then I wondered the same thing. MAC got shot and is struggling with his disability; he hasnt told ANYONE and the last episode his Doctor said "in time it will heal but no immediate resolution can be found"........just makes me think his character wont make it. Id LOVE for it to continue, and maybe with luck the writers of the show will put it in at the last second but for now I struggle right along with him lol

Mac will not die from what happened to him, but the memory loss could be around for a long time - thats what his doctor ment.

I hope that this isn't the last season!! I love this show!! I know that Mac isn't going to die, and there is the possibility that his memory condition won't get better. I know that my grandfather had a stroke and he struggles in the same way that Mac does. He KNOWS the answers, he just has a hard time finding the words/names. It's very frustrating for him, and I imagine Mac. My grandfather at least has a supportive group around him helping and therapy but since Mac hasn't told anyone (probably in fear of losing his job, and because he's very private and independent) he is struggling through this alone. I wish he would let others help him, but that may still happen. I'm enjoying the season a lot so far, and I really do hope that it continues. :)
