I really hope CBS doesn't cancel this show. I know it's likely to be cancelled and maybe I'm the only one, but this season has been great. I love all the episodes they have had this season :)

We really enjoy this show - it's my mom's favorite of all the CSI's.

When there are so many shows tried each year that fail because they're terrible, why would a channel cancel a quality, proven program? If they do it doesn't make sense to me.

I have enjoyed this season as much as any of the others and I hope the show continues. It is my favorite CSI. The only episodes I don't like are the extremely gruesome scenes or evil plots--such as the Nate Haskel story line (yes, I know that is not NY.) My heart sunk before season 8 when it seemed NY wouldn't be renewed and there was so much talk that Gary Sinise wanted to quit the show. Now there are rumors that he does want to continue on indefinately and I am hoping they are true--and that the network cooperates!

I haven't heard any rumors that GS wanted to not do the show before the end of the eighth season.

Where did you hear he wants to stay on now?

Just from the boards. I never spend time searching other sites. I just like reading the comments and commenting myself sometimes.
