Renewed? Filming location?

Hi I'm from the UK but have been watching the episodes online so I'm upto date with you guys in America. I've been reading posts on here with rumours of it being cancelled, I hope this is not true. Now that i'm finally up to date, I don't want it to be all over after this season haha.

I seen on this website that it was renewed:

It's under the renewed section, don't know if that means been renewed this year or whether it means for a season 10? When do we find out if it's actually getting a season 10? Really want them to reach the 200th episode at least :)

Also, how do you guys now when they are actually filming in NYC? I know they do occassionaly go on location to film and was just wondering how to find this out. I'm going to New York for over new year and would love if they filmed while I was over there haha I'm such a geek. I just love the show so much!

Most likely we won't know until mid-May.

CBS never mentions when a show is on it's final season and I don't think other networks do that either.

Show will be back for the last 8 or so episodes on January 9th though.

CSI:NY is actually filmed in Los Angeles...like a lot of other NY set shows. That's why this show overloads you with Manhattan stock shots every 4 seconds, then they go to a scene on the street only to have palm trees and orange Metro Local buses driving around in the background lol
