And seasons back, he really seemed to hit it off with Madchen Amick when they met in a deli while Mac was grabbing his order. Whatever became of her?
Actually, the manager who Christine was going to fire used her as a pawn. The manager's gf who looks like Christine pretended to be Christine and used her airline tickets and reservations. I assume the fake Christine paid for the room with cash, or Kim, manager's gf used a fake ID once she got into Vegas.
Seems both Mac and Christine has been very busy with their jobs and just didn't have much time for each other.
The lady Mac met a few years ago was a doctor and I don't really think there was anything there.
Wardfan 1, I am a bit fuzzy about the sequence of events. From what I can gather, it's like this: a Mr. Sadat, diamond dealer from Vegas, comes to NY, and is impressed with the restaurant Christine is running. So he thinks seriously of opening a similar one in Vegas. And for doing that, Christine reputedly comes to Vegas to give some consultancy?! I realise it's a ruse, because Christine of course never makes it to Las Vegas. But was that the original idea i.e Christine coming to Vegas to help Sadat set up or invest in, a new restaurant? Was this what the fired manager(Jimmy?) wanted Sadat to think.

Jimmy wanted Sadat to think that. I don't think Jimmy was fired yet at the time Mac and DB got to him. Jimmy's brother is the one who has her and maybe he is the loan shark. I'm really not sure about that part.
We don't really know when she lost her phone, Jimmy's brother actually could have kidnapped her and Jimmy gets her phone then that's when the ruse happened. Mac was just surprising Christine so as far as she knows, Mac isn't looking for her.
It took me awhile to figure things out though.
Too bad Elisabeth Shue didn't appear in the CSI: NY part of the story. More than two decades ago, she lost a role to Sherilyn Fenn in Gary Sinise's big-screen remake of Of Mice and Men.
shareYou guys wandered off topic a bit. The OP wasn't asking for an explanation of the episode, just Mac's love life on the show. I can't speak beyond his current "love-of-his-life," but she's been around since at least last season sometime. From what I remember she was the sister of an old partner. I know Claire Forlani played an ex sometime back, but a more knowledgeable person can probably provide a lot more detail, and go back further.
