What happened to Zane?

Last we saw of him in "Seth and Apep", he'd been taken to the airport hanger and left in Mac's trunk. Later, Flack says the Federal guys were mad because of the "clerical error". Was he let go? I can't believe Mac would just do that, esp. since the "deal" he made of Zane for Christine went by the wayside when he played Russian Roulette with the guy who took him to Christine (can't remember his name right now)and the other guy in the van was shot by Mac.

Thoughts anyone? Thank you.

I think Mac waited for Don/DB to come to the hanger to get Zane and have Crime Scene process the evidence.

I really can't see Mac leaving the guy in the trunk while he drove to the warehouse with Omar. I think that's the guy's name who had the beard. Because it was day time when Mac got to the hanger and night time when he went to get Christine.

Thanks, Wardfan1, that makes sense. I hadn't noticed the time of day that I remember, but I re-watched it and saw it now. Just wish they would have showed a bit about that. Guess I wanted to see Mac give it to Zane a little more. :) I love tough Mac!
